Live Stations of the Cross
From the March 2025 edition of our Parish Stewardship Newsletter:
As a Lenten practice, the Live Stations of the Cross are a beautiful way to encounter the reality of Christ’s love for us in a new way — a way that strikes at our hearts and imaginations.
“It’s something to help you to meditate,” Deacon Nestor says. “When you see something like this, when you see Christ raised up on the cross, it takes you back to 2,000 years ago. It prepares our hearts to think about what happened and what Jesus did for us. With this event, we get up close to Jesus and what He does for us.”
Recreating the Passion of Christ is a rich tradition from Central America, South America and Mexico. It is a way for us to walk beside Jesus, connecting with what He experienced on His last day on Earth.
