St. Vincent de Paul Jubilee Pilgrimage Trips – Mark Your Calendars
There are 5 Jubilee Pilgrimage sites in our diocese but because of distances we can only do so many at a time! Therefore, we have divided these special stops AND added some other wonderful things to each. The first trip will be Friday, September 12th and the second trip will be Friday, October 17th. When you come on both trips you will have visited ALL of the Jubilee Pilgrimage Sites! Fr. Joe and Sister Mary Ruth plan to be with us on both trips.
September 12 … Catholic Jubliee Pilgrimate Trip!
On this day our trip will begin with a stop and tour of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, where coffee and some light snacks will be waiting for us! Steve, the official Cathedral tour guide and Stewardship Coordinator, will be our guide as he shows and discusses the many parts fo the Cathedral with us.
Next, we’ll travel to Starkenburg for a tour of Our Lady of Sorrows as we are told about this very special shrine after which we’ll enjoy and included, catered lunch.
Our last stop will be in Laurie where we’ll celebrate Mass and have an included supper before returning home.
Remember that a great deal is included in each stop as well as good discussions along the way, facilitated by Fr. Joe Corel and Sr. Mary Ruth Wand.
The motorcoach bus will pick up in Marshal Jct. at 6:15am, arrive at the Thompson Hills shopping center (in the main parking lot closer to McDonald’s) at 7:00am, and we’ll leave by 7:30am. About 8am we’ll stop at St. Andrews in Tipton to pick up more travelers. Since the motorcoach is out of Columbia, we can also pick up and drop off in Jeff City or Columbia too! Please specify when you make your reservation where you want to be picked up and dropped off.
Reservations and payment are NOW due by August 20th September 8th. You can drop your payment in the St. Vincent de Paul Rectory office or mail them to Jean Gallagher, the trip coordinator, at PO Box 1756, Sedalia, MO 65302. The cost is $115 per person which will cover the cost of the motorcoach, driver, lunch, dinner, snacks, water, and the tip for the driver.
