Jesus is on the Move!

Jesus Is On The Move!

Did you know there is a group of perpetual pilgrims making their way to us as you are reading this?  This group of pilgrims started their procession eastward with the Blessed Sacrament on May 19, 2024 in San Francisco, CA. By the time they arrive in Sedalia, MO on July 1st they will have processed through 9 states, and almost 1,900 miles. From Sedalia they will continue to process throughout the diocese of Jefferson City until July 5, and then make their way to Indianapolis, Indiana for the Eucharistic Congress on July 17. They will meet up with three other processions, converging in Indianapolis from the North, South and East. This is all the culmination of the three-year Jubilee of the Eucharist. My brothers and sisters, WE are part of something at the National Level to bring a better worship, awe and wonder of the greatest gift given to Humanity, the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ! Being chosen as a host parish along the pilgrimage route is an honor and a blessing. It’s a once in a lifetime event to renew not just our faith, but to allow us to help those outside our parish experience this renewal along with us! There are two opportunities for you to worship with us on July 1st and 2nd: on July 1st at 6pm at Sacred Heart School for a dinner to welcome the perpetual pilgrims and the activities that will follow that evening: presentation on the Eucharist, a procession to St. Patrick Chapel, Adoration, and confessions; on July 2nd at 6:30am at St. Patrick Chapel for Mass, a procession to Sacred Heart Chapel, and coffee & donuts fellowship. Join us for one, or both, of these once in a lifetime opportunities.
