Health Ministry News
Bereavement Ministry – If you have recently lost a loved one and would like a bereavement ministry volunteer to contact you; call the rectory. The parish has a number of volunteers that are willing to meet with you, call, or just send a card periodically through the first year of grief. Whatever is helpful they will try to provide. If your loved one was buried in another town or parish, we may not have received the information needed to contact you.
Immunizations – Is your elementary age child up to date as school starts? Your child should receive vaccines to protect them from the following diseases at the following ages:
Ages 4-6:
- Chickenpox (Varicella)
- Diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough (pertussis) (DTaP)
- Influenza (Flu)
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
- Polio (IPV)
Ages 7-10:
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) (2 doses; 6-12 months apart)
Also the annual flu shot should be given.
