Sacred Heart School President Announced
Dear parishioners of Sacred Heart Parish,
Our school and parish are blessed with many accomplished, dedicated, and talented individuals. After a prayerful, extensive and thorough search process that yielded four strong and qualified candidates, we thank the Holy Spirit for guiding our president’s search toward one of our own.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Nikki Howell as president of Sacred Heart School. As president, Mrs. Howell will serve in an outward-facing role, taking the good news of our school to the broader community. Her primary responsibilities will be to build community relationships, implement and expand strategic plans, and provide business management to ensure the financial stability of Sacred Heart School. She’ll work in partnership with Mrs. Manning, who will continue to serve in an inward-facing role, responsible for daily school operations and developing and implementing an effective educational agenda for continued faculty and student success.
Before becoming a valued faculty member in 2017, Mrs. Howell spent over 20 years in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets, successfully serving in leadership roles that focused on financial management, strategic planning, operational vitality, new revenue generators, and building relationships. Her love and enthusiasm for SHS, St. Vincent de Paul Parish and its people, combined with her professional expertise, make her the ideal candidate to partner with us in this next chapter of growth.
Since joining our team, Mrs. Howell has devoted much of her time to serving our school and parish. She restructured our internal process for greater efficiency and improved internal communications. She was instrumental in the construction, business development, and launch of our fabulous STUCO Gremlin Student Store and Café, which serves as a real-world student learning lab. As Yearbook advisor, Howell and her teams have earned three national awards for excellence. She also participated in and helped develop our 2017 strategic plan for operational vitality.
We are excited about the vision, direction, leadership, partnership, energy, and enthusiasm Mrs. Howell will deliver in her new role. Dr. Register, Mrs. Manning, myself, and other key leadership team members will work with Mrs. Howell on cross-training leading up to her official start date on July 1. Mrs. Manning and Dr. Burdick will seek applicants to fill Mrs. Howell’s teaching positions for the 2023-2024 school year.
